Who Am I?

I'm Charmaine, a Canadian living and working abroad through teaching English. Growing up in a protected environment, at age 20, I went to study abroad and never stopped travelling since. I want to inspire and encourage other people to step out of their comfort zone and to go abroad.

I’ve spent a hard 9 months living and surviving as a language assistant in Paris. From dealing with administration, to language barrier and a lot of misfortune, I describe my year in France as a “sink or swim” experience. Yet despite all these challenges, coming home was never an option and these are the stories that kept me alive.
